Mountain's Hidden Paradise

August 20 last year when my friend Pyke and I visited Sagada. Cool breeze, warm smile and breath taking scenery welcomes us as we explore the town. Carried by the moment, our love story also began as we explore Sagada.

We stayed at Misty Lodge for 5 days and we are proud to say that it plays a big part of our life because our relationship as lovers starts here.

Sagada offers a one stop scenic spot for us. Kuya Oliver of SAGGAS makes our tour more lively, meaningful and full of laughter as he tells story from Sagada's tradition in cemetery, hanging coffin, the trees, the church, the religion and influences of the Americans. We also enjoy his companion as we do spelunking at Cave Connection. He congratulates and told us that we are already spelunkers as we finish successfully the Cave Connection. I also want to congratulate Pyke's dslr for surviving inside the cave. thanks to mr.oliver.

We also see the beautiful sunrise at Kiltepan has to offer  I love the over-viewing of the mountains and fields from there. It is also our first sunrise together. Lake Danum also offers scenic view of nature. Too bad we were not able to experience the sunset there because fog went down fast and rain starts to fall. But amidst all, Lake Danum witnesses our first picture as couple. Moments of silence and kisses of the wind makes this place super romantic.

The foods are also a must try in Sagada. Fresh ingredient and authentic taste tickles our taste buds. The pinikpikan is also unique! Lemon pie is also offered here as well as strawberry yogurt. Breads are freshly baked and can be smelled from the distance.

Last thing that makes us Sagada love most is Masferre's  work. As photo enthusiast, it is an honor to see an artist's works. We weren't able to experience Masferre restaurant but we were able to see his museum. His wife, ma'am Nena, is very kind and hospitable. She gladly welcome as to Masferre's photograph museum eventhough we're wet from Bokong Falls. We were able to see the history of film camera and the old culture of natives. We observe history in the museum as ma'am Nena explains the camera used by her husband as well as the film used and traits, beliefs of the mountain peoples or natives before and differences of rice terraces in different places.

Overall, Sagada is a wonderful place a Filipino should be proud of thats why I wanna go here again. And most of all I am proud to say that Pyke and I starts a wonderful relationship in the place called Sagada

Happy Hearts!

Its been a while when we started dating
Almost 6 happy months in the making
From laughing and trippings into kissing
Every single moment I see it as a blessing


Six more months to celebrate an anniversary
But every seconds is just like valentines day
Hugging and kissing every time of the day
You're the only man that gives me joy amidst the misery


And so we celebrate this Valentines
But you've already kissed me so many times
Just be with me and hold me in your arms
Thats more special than any flowers and wines

Twenty Twelve has ended and many events had occur

Looking back to the past makes me accept and realize

That it takes time to see and feel the true world

Amidst the dark of your created cosmos

I've learn to let go of things that makes me a prisoner of tears

Things that burns my pride in order to follow other's happiness

I've learn to open my eyes and heart to someone's whose already there

Someone who's there all the time but I'm too blind and deaf to realize

As I write this letter, I am now sure to myself

That I did the best thing before twenty twelve has ended

To let go and accept in order for me to be happy

And see the true color of our world.

Now I can say, " I am happy and contented"

Because I have you here beside me all the time

Thanks for coming into my life and please always be here

Because you are the reason I am smiling again
